Allen Oliver

About Me

My name is Allen Oliver, and I have been developing software and games both for fun and business for about 4 years now. I got my start in my teenage years dabbling with code and trying to figure out how to make games, and then once I started learning it became a lifelong passion. While it is my line of work, I would be programming for fun no matter what I did. I spend a good portion of my time working on game demos, little widgets, web stuff, and helping others with their code!

A few of my other hobbies include hiking, retro games, retro computing, and movies. I am a big fan of music as well! 



As far as software goes, I have worked with a lot of different tech stacks. I would say I am most skilled in .Net, but I am not scared to go a little deeper into the machine level. Everyone loves a little C!

When it comes to Game Development, I have worked in Unity, Unreal, and Godot and have a working knowledge of modern game engines. I have some experience in the backend writing an engine as well. I enjoy Gameplay Scripting, developing editor tools, and project architecture.
